Snow removal: Wed Feb 7th. Update: 6:20 pm

Update 6:20 pm 2/7/18: based on ground accumulation measurements taken at both the lower and upper village on hard surfaces, this storm has not reached the 2 inch snow plowing threshold. Snow/ice removal on walks and driveway is is the homeowners responsibility.

Update 2:15 pm 2/7/18: because we would rather give you bad news sooner than later, as of now measurements are showing 1.5 inches under the 2" contractor trigger depth. We will continue to watch the storm and will measure again when precipitation ends, however as of now it is looking to now be a resident clearing responsibility event.
Update 12:30 pm 2/7/18: Twp will begin plowing roads at 1:30 pm

The storm is currently tracking to be more snow then ice and rain, but is still anticipated to end with some light rain. We will continue to track it throughout the day to make the best judgment call for when snow removal will start. As of now, we anticipate Starting snow removal after all precipitation has completed. We don't want to remove snow to be left with freezing rain on concrete and pavement surfaces. Anticipated start as of now will be 8 PM this evening

Reminder: the township of West Milford is responsible for clearing and salting the roadways in Bald Eagle Village. Road conditions should be reported to the DPW and/or non-emergency police number if DPW is not closed.

Please refer to the snow zone map and second day push back map posted to here for clearing process and second day-second driveway clearing. At this time we are anticipating the second day driveway clearing will be tomorrow Thursday, February 8. If that changes we will post it to the website. If you are out of your driveway during your specific time for pushback, your driveway will get a second clearing tomorrow.

Updates throughout the storm and clearing will be posted to this thread.

Remember that unit owners are responsible for the application of ice melt to walks and driveways as maybe necessary.
